We want to help create defensible space for

your land through targeted grazing to reduce fuels so that if ever you need to be, you will

be protected from a fire which might have otherwise been catastrophic.

Sheep and goats are excellent for fuels

reduction. They will graze the ground and browse in the trees and bushes, removing

the fire ladder which was there before. 

​

Grazing your land is also very effective for reducing poison oak. Once digested by a goat, poison oak can't germinate. Repeating this for some years in a row can almost completely irradicate poison oak without having to spray any toxic or harsh chemicals.

​

If you have a property that is very overgrown, mowing can be dangerous if you don't know what is underneath. Bringing in animals will help to clear out the vegetation and expose anything that might be hidden underneath.

 

Goats will also clear out things like thistle

which other animals will shy away from. ​​​​​​
